Accessories

the accessories personalise the hood. They are practical and easy to apply. The fronts, grills and the object-holder shelves can be chosen separately and matched in the way you prefer on the installed hood, according to your tastes and your needs.

Air capacity

indicates the volume of air aspirated in an hour. It is measured in cubic metres per hour (m³/h).

Air capacity free outlet

the aspiration capacity of the hood measured at the exit hole of the fumes. top of the page

Air capacity IEC point

is the aspiration capacity of the hood measured according to the indications of the International Electro-technical Commission, the organisation for the definition of standards in matters of electricity, electronics and correlated technologies. Measurement according to the IEC method reproduces the typical conditions of installation and functioning.

Air duct

is the ensemble of the conduits that evacuate the aspirated air outside. The diameter of the aspiration conduit influences the effectiveness of your hood. The optimal diameter is 150 mm.

Baffle Filter

this is a metallic anti-fat filter patented by Faber that offers professional effectiveness (it cleans more than 90% of the aspirated fats). It is washable by hand or in dishwashers.

Body

is the part of the hood that contains the extraction unit and carries the air. The commands are placed on its surface.

Chimney

the flue is the part of the hood positioned over the body: it serves to cover the aspiration group and the exit conduit. There are different measurements of the chimney on some models according to the height of the ceilings where the hood is to be installed.

Comfort panel

this is a sound-absorbent cushion that is coupled with the perimeter aspiration and reduces perceived noise by 25%. To know more, consult Faber Plus.

Corner adapter

serves for installing some elements of the hood in a corner that do not have a sharp edge at the back.

Easy Cleaning

a system that makes installation, maintenance and cleaning the hood easy.

Electronic controls

the electronic controls is a command interface that allows you to use all the electronic functions of your hood in a simple and immediate way, or even automatically. The hoods equipped with electronics have additional functions that improve the comfort use of the hood.

Extraction hood

this is the functioning mode of the hood that evacuates fumes and aspirated steam in the kitchen outside by means of a conduit. It is the recommended functioning mode.

Extraction unit

is inside the hood and consists of the motor and the rotor. It allows the aspiration.
The Pro extraction unit offers high performance in terms of aspiration, noise and duration.
The HiLo extraction unit, designed for average range hoods, ensures less noise to the models that mount it (to know more, consult Faber Plus).

Filtering hood

this is the functioning mode of the hood that purifies the aspirated air by means of active carbon filters and returns it to the kitchen. It is less effective than the extractor hood version and is to be used only when it is not possible to use the hood in the aspiration version.

Finish

finish indicates materials and (eventually) colours that characterise the aesthetics of your hood.

Flat air duct

special tubing that can be hidden from sight to avoid ugliness in the kitchen.

Grease filter

the grease filter protects the motor from fats contained in the aspirated steam of the hood. All the hoods are equipped with an anti-fat filter. There are two kinds of anti-fat filters: metallic (self-supporting or Baffle), washable by hand or in the dishwasher and synthetic (in a few cases mounted on some models), to be substituted periodically. The correct functioning of the filter ensures healthier air and greater duration of the motor of your hood. This is why it is advisable to wash the metallic anti-fat filters or change the synthetic anti-fat filters at least every two months.
This ordinary maintenance also avoids bad odours stagnating in the kitchen and the possibility of fats burning and ruining the hood.

Grill shelf

the grill shelf is a useful support for putting plates and ladles upon. It is matched to the hood around the flue.

Illumination

the hoods are equipped with lights to illuminate the cooking top. The type, number and absorption of the lamps are indicated under this item. Some models are equipped with special courtesy lights or lights that create an aesthetic effect.

Input

is the value in watts (W) of the electrical power absorbed by the hood in function. It varies according to the speed selected and the lights switched on

Intensive speed

present in some models, indicates the maximum aspiration capacity of the motor.

Mechanical controls

the mechanical keyboard is a command interface that allows you to switch on, adjust and switch off the hood manually. Moreover, you can switch on the light to illuminate the cooking top.

Noise

the noise generated by the hood while functioning is shown in dB (A).
For the most part the noise is generated by the flow of air that is created inside the hood during aspiration. The silence of a hood makes its use comfortable. A hood ensures comfort if it is effective with a noise level not superior to 55 dB (A).

Odour filter

the odour filters are mounted on the filtering mode hood. The internally present active carbon traps bad odours from the aspirated air. The anti-odour filters lose their effectiveness after three months of normal functioning and then are to be changed.

Optimized speed

the electronically equipped hoods optimise the aspiration speed on the basis of the standard dimensions of the kitchen so that the hood is more effective and more silent.

Pressure

pressure is the ability of the hood to propel the air far away through the tubing. The pressure is measured in Pa (Pascal. 1 Pa = 1 N/m²).

the splash-back protects the walls between the cooking top and the hood from eventual splashes from the cooking. It is matched to the finish of the hood.

the speeds are the running conditions of the motor. The higher progressive number indicates greater aspiration capacity.
