ABC of the installation
Here are some simple points that must be followed to obtain a comfortable and correct installationA correct installation is necessary for the effectiveness of your hood

1. The inspection
Ask your dealer to inspect the kitchen. You can know in advance:• the height of the ceiling for calculating the exact height of the flue,
• the position and diameter of the exit hole to obtain the correct type of tubing,
• the volume of the kitchen to inform you about sufficient aspiration power.

2. the aspiration conduit
Make sure that the aspiration conduit is the shortest and least tortuous possible. If the path has to be particularly long and with many curves, choose the right hood in finding a hood that is, in any case, efficient
A non efficient installation
3. product integrity
Make sure that the hood has not been damaged during transport• If it is damaged, have it changed for a new one before installing it
• The hood must have the guarantee and the instructions manual with it

4. distance from the cooking top
The hood is to be installed at a minimum distance of 65 cm from the cooking top• Attention: the guarantee is invalidated if this safety distance is not respected.
• The hood cannot guarantee the declared performance if the distance from the cooking top exceeds 75 cm.
5. the first test
Once installation is completed, carry out a first test, starting the motor and turning the lights on• If it is a aspiration hood, check that it is connected well to the exit tubing
• If it is a filtering hood, check that there are the carbon filters.

6. la prima pulizia
Only at this point should the protective film be removed and a first cleaning carried out• Remove the impurities with a damp sponge and a little neutral soap
• Rinse with a damp cloth
• Dry with a soft cloth. If the hood is in stainless steel, follow the glazing of the metal
• You can give the stainless steel hood a protective treatment with the Faber Clin&Clin tissue.

46/90 italian law
Attention: check that you are in conformity with law 46/90 that regulates the aeration conditions of the rooms in which there are cooking tops or other gas apparatuses (e.g. heaters).
The law requires: • an entrance hole for oxygenising the environment, to be made on the lower part of the wall that communicates with the exterior
• an exit hole for discharging fumes, to be made on the upper part of the wall that communicates with the exterior (or in the case of a chimney flue, dedicated exclusively for this use).
If it is an aspiration hood, you can use the exit hole as the terminal of the conduit that carries the air outside.
