Faber completes its “All in one – One documented system, one certificate” project

Milan, May 2017 – Faber has announced the completion of its “All in one - One documented system, one certificate" project to standardise certification for all Faber production plants, wherever they are in the world.

“We have worked hard to extend certification to all our plants, worldwide,” explains Riccardo Remedi, Faber’s Managing Director. “The aim of this project was to show that Faber adopts the same approach to quality, takes the same care to prevent pollution and ensures the same high levels of safety in the workplace all around the world.

Today, all Faber production plants have a Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001, an Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001 and an Occupational Health and Safety System certified to OHSAS 18001, with just one certificate covering the entire group: a very important achievement indeed for a company that has always understood the importance of innovation. Having invented domestic appliances, Faber is now leader in kitchen hoods for the 3rd millennium, thanks to products of unrivalled functionality, technology, innovation and design.

The project to integrate certification for all seven factories began back in 2013 and took four years to complete. Once completed in Italy, the project was rolled out to Turkey, Sweden, France, Argentina, India and Mexico.

Faber’s commitment to excellence in production management actually goes back much further, to 1995 in fact. Faber was the first kitchen hood manufacturer in the world to obtain ISO 9001 certification for its quality system. Then, in 2003, the company's Integrated Quality, Safety and Environment System, certified to ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 by SGS, was awarded the first ever SGS Certificate of Excellence - certificate no. 1. In November 2005, Faber also received the Integrated Quality, Safety and Environment System Award from Sincert (Italy’s National System for the Accreditation of Certification and Inspection Bodies) in an event entitled “100,000 Quality Certificates”. This prestigious award recognised the important contribution made by the “excellent” enterprises that obtained certification before 31 August 2005 for the management systems covered by the Sincert accreditation scheme (Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety). Only 80 companies out of 100,000, selected on a chronological basis, have ever received this important award.

With certification of Faber’s Mexican plant on 21 April 2017, the “All in One” project finally drew to a close, with Faber setting a new standard for quality in industrial management.
