Whether in concrete, with a strong urban imprint, coated with metallic leaf, or covered with a film featuring minimal graphic elements, a selection of Faber’s top-of-the-range hoods have been chosen to be transformed into unique, hand-finished and customised models.
High fashion reaches the hob. The Limited Edition line of hoods launched this year by Faber to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary is marked by a truly unique dress code. Finished by hand, the hoods selected for this limited collection reflect the latest home decoration trends, embracing precious metal coatings with a satin finish, films with elegant graphic elements, and striking materials such as concrete. More than a simple appliance, the hood becomes a unique element in the kitchen, combining high-level technological performance with eye-catching aesthetics. Lybra, the square F-light model characterized by Faber’s up&down technology, is covered with a special zebra patterned film, making use of an innovative wrapping technique that creates a second skin on the hood’s surface. Arkea, Jolie, Lithos and Veil, instead, have been coated in silver leaf, for added sophistication and elegance. In this way, Arkea, Faber’s iconic globe-like hood, takes centre stage over the hob, embellishing the room with its almost stroboscopic effect. The use of silver for the clean and simple design of Jolie has been so successful as to induce the company to add gold and copper to the colour range for this hood. Lithos, Faber’s cubic vertical model, has also been selected for these exercises in style, and is now available in three versions: golden, silver and in concrete, for a distinctly urban style. This metropolitan cement look is also reflected in the recent Veil hood, and in the spherical Cylindra Isola, also available in orange copper hues, for a truly unique result. In the case of Veil, which offers an innovative take on the classic chimney extractor hood and was designed by the Politecnico di Milano, Faber has added unusual shades of Tibetan silver, in warm bronze hues, to the aforementioned silver. This special coating also enhances the design of Pareo, a hood that stands out for its volume and presence, and that extends and retracts with a harmonious spiralling motion. The result – like every item of haute couture – will leave even the most demanding customer speechless.
