Air Hub: take care of the air you breathe
Indoor air quality is an important aspect of home comfort. Faber puts its technology and expertise at the service of everyday living with advanced air treatment systems designed to reduce airborne viruses and bacteria under tested conditions.
The Air Hub range is designed to support everyday comfort and well-being in the home environment. It includes the Vertical, Ceiling, T-Shape and Portable models.
The Vertical, Ceiling and T-Shape Air Hub models combine two functions: they remove steam and cooking odours while helping maintain cleaner and fresher indoor air. The air treatment cycle can be activated manually or scheduled through two automatic programmes: Night Cycle and Intensive Disinfection.
Air Hub Portable features the exclusive 4×4 TECH, combining four UV-C lamps and four filtration stages. The system uses activated carbon filtration and is designed to help reduce airborne particles such as PM10 and PM2.5, as well as VOCs, contributing to a fresher and more comfortable indoor environment.
How to choose a hood based on extraction capacity?
The volume of the kitchen determines the required extraction capacity. An effective hood changes the air in the kitchen 10 times per hour*. A powerful motor ensures greater silence and less energy consumption because it is effective at low speeds.
A hood does not disturb if it extracts sufficiently without exceeding 55 dB(A) of sound power. A powerful motor can also be effective at lower, quieter speeds.

How to correctly install the hood?
The hood should be installed at a minimum distance of 65cm from the hob. We recommend not installing it more than 75cm from the hob so that it can extract fumes correctly. Furthermore, the fume exhaust should be as close as possible to the hood. Choose ducts of 150mm in diameter (or no less than 120mm), no longer than 3-4 meters with a maximum of 2 bends. Warning: the warranty does not cover any damages caused by not respecting the minimum safety distances.
Which ducting is advisable to use for better performance?
A duct diameter of 150mm is optimal for hoods with a flow rate of 300m3/h or higher. If ducting with this diameter cannot be installed, we recommend a diameter of 120mm. Smaller ducting can negatively affect the flow rate and noise level of the hood.
How do you test extraction?
Before performing the extraction test, ensure that the hood has been installed correctly, following the instructions in the installation booklet provided with the product. A preliminary extraction test can be performed by turning on both the hood and the hob, and then bringing a pan of water to a boil. If the installation is correct and the poor extraction is due to a product defect, request help from the authorised Faber Technical Assistance Centre (info at the link https://www.faberspa.com/centri-assistenza/) by sending the details of the code written on the label inside the hood. How is hood performance measured?
The extraction capacity and noise level of Faber hoods are measured according to the international standards IEC/EN 61591 and IEC/EN 60704-3 (sound power), specifically devised by certification bodies to detect the performances of kitchen hoods. These methods reproduce typical installation and operating conditions, therefore providing realistic and reliable data. Demand that the performance of hoods refer to these standards: you will be able to rely on correct, complete, and reliable information – just as we provide. Our laboratory is accredited by IMQ and NEMKO, and all performances of Faber hoods, including the grease capture capacity of the filters and the brightness of the lamps, are measured internally.
How to clean the hood?

How can I get the instruction booklet for my hood?

I have a flashing light, do I need to request Technical Assistance?

How can I identify the hood I have at home?
The model of each hood is shown on the label inside the product (identifiable by removing the metal filters/grid). This label has a service code, in the top right part, of 7 or 9 digits starting with 63..., or a 10-digit code with the format 110.xxxx.xxx.
What should I do if the label that shows the details of the hood is no longer readable?
If the label is illegible or worn, assistance can be requested by filling out the Form in the Support section.
How can I stop the hood from making noise?
The hood’s noise is caused by the passage of air inside it during operation. Faber hood components are designed to reduce the obstacles to the airflow, achieving excellent results in terms of low noise emission. An effective precaution to prevent an increase in noise is to use properly sized ducting (120-150 mm in diameter) for the air outlet. Dirty or saturated filters can obstruct the airflow: periodic cleaning (or replacement) of the filters ensures a smooth airflow. Why doesn’t the Technical Assistance Centre take action for problems related to the product’s aesthetics?
Any aesthetic defect of the product must be reported to the technician at the time of installation, or when opening the hood’s packaging. Subsequent complaints and any action from the Technical Assistance Centre will not be covered by the warranty.
If, due to installation requirements, I position the hood lower than indicated in the instruction booklet, will the warranty still be valid?
No, the minimum distance required in the instruction booklet must be respected, both for the warranty to be valid and for safety in the kitchen environment.
If I am using the hood in extractor mode, do I need to make a ventilation hole in the upper part of the room?
Yes, the same hole will then be connected to the ducting from the hood. The hole must have a diameter of at least 120 mm.
